Journal Entry #4 Ground Zero

What did you feel when you first saw newspaper or magazine images or found zero? How were your reactions similar to or different from Berne's?
When I was younger and saw magazines about it, I knew nothing about it. I was to young to understand and it did not affect me alot, because I knew no one about it. What grabbed my attention were the images taken the day of the attack. Alot of perspective view points showed different points of views of how it happened. The resulting images showed so many emotions and dangerous situations people where put into. For example, the images showed people dying from injuries and hanging from the buildings that could lead to their deaths. People were also trapped underneath the rubber contaminating the air with dust. The fascinated me more, than to give me a feeling of sadness. A lot of certain things do not make me feel sad, only movies. The movie about the World Trade Center did affect me, because it gave me a more realistic picture of other peoples lives, that were effect by this.
Berne's reaction to this made e relate to him. He seemed like to be not so affected by this and to feel any sympathy toward others, As if he was clueless of how this meant to everyone else.  Personally he was more entertained and wanted to see other peoples point of views. He listened in to other people, for example, when the father was talking to his son about it the father seemed more hurt by this. Showed how he was here from the beginning of constructing it to the destruction of it now. My interest was in how it all happened and the results, and I can understand why people are hurt by this. Since no one that I know was hurt by this or was in danger by this attack, I feel no sadness about talking about this topic.
